为加强马克思主义与女性主义学术研究及交流，提高本专业硕士研究生的学术水平，推进本院马克思主义与女性主义学术团队建设，营造活跃思辨的学术氛围，bat365在线平台学术分委员会联合导师组拟于2016年10月17——18日举办第二次马克思主义与女性主义专题学术活动。具体安排如下：
一．专题讲座
讲座题目: Technology as Trojan Horse: Some Thoughts on Where High-Tech Gadgets are Taking U.S. Culture and Its Educational System

讲座人简介：
Dr. Martin Japtok received his M.A. degree in American Studies, British Studies, and Philosophy from the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany, and his Ph.D. in English from the University of California, Davis.
He has taught at UC Davis, West Virginia State University, and Palomar College, where he is Associate Professor of English and Multicultural Studies.
Dr. Japtok is author of Growing Up Ethnic: Nationalism and the Bildungsroman in African American and Jewish American Fiction, editor of Postcolonial Perspectives on Women Writers from Africa, the Caribbean, and the U.S., and co-editor of Authentic Blackness/“Real” Blackness: Essays on the Meaning of Blackness in Literature and Culture.
He is currently working on two books: an essay collection on science fiction writer Octavia Butler and an authorized anthology of essays on novelist, essayist, and painter Clarence Major.
